Smartflatting was started in 2006 by Stephen Harper in Christchurch, New Zealand. The first units were built at Rex Street, Riccarton, close to Westfield mall and the University of Canterbury.

Smartflatting is now a family business, operated by Stephen and Renata Harper, visionaries who have brought to life a perfect place for young professionals and students; housing suitable for singles or couples looking for a place that can be called home.

 

Affordable, private, each unit is located at the best location, Riccarton and the City Centre. Riccarton units are close to University with a good bus service, close to Westfield mall and restaurants. The City Centre units are handy to supermarkets, bus service, shops.

 

Smartflatting has in Christchurch: 3 units at Worcester Street - City Centre, 1 unit at Ely Street - City Centre and 2 units at Cambridge Tce - City centre. In Nelson 1 unit at 131 Waimea Road.

 

Rented per room with a communal area. Each unit is fully-furnished:

 

·   Each bedroom is fully-furnished with a queen-sized bed, desk and chair, TV, dvd,  built-in wardrobe

·   Each room is individually alarmed and pre-wired for high speed internet and Sky

·   Communal kitchen equipped with 2 fridge/freezers and dishwasher,              

    microwave, stove,  with individual lockers for food storage

·   Heat pump and TV in lounge

·   Quality noise insulation

·   Laundry with washing machine and dryer

·   The communal area is cleaned twice per week

·   Private outdoor living

·   No pets

·   No smokers
